Public Access to most of the official county documents (i.e.) real and personal property records, liens, assumed names, abstracts, bonds, livestock brands, subdivision plats, military discharges, marriage licenses, birth and death certificates, and wills.

The His­to­ry Cen­ter makes avail­able the his­to­ry of our region with focus on the nat­ur­al and social his­to­ry of the area, the East Texas lum­ber indus­try, and the records of region­al fam­i­lies, orga­ni­za­tions, busi­ness­es, and governments. Open M-F from 8-5.

Consistently named one of the top ten genealogical libraries in the nation. The Center houses a national and international collection of family history research materials in print, microprint and online.

the East Texas Research Center’s is the official university archive and a state-designated repository for the historic records of surrounding counties.
